Coffee diterpene anti-tumor mechanism via phase ii enzyme induction: cafestol and kahweol upregulate glutathione-s-transferase, nqo1, and udp-glucuronosyltransferase (phase ii detoxification enzymes) โ the same nrf2/are pathway activated by sulforaphane and other chemopreventive compounds. this enzyme induction provides indirect antioxidant-anticarcinogen activity through enhanced carcinogen biotransformation.
