Common Name(s): Hema acetoacetate, hema polyurethane nail gel polymer,uv-curable nail resin
CAS Number: N/a
DESCRIPTION
What It Does: Provides the uv/led-curable nail gel film with strong natural nail adhesion, high gloss, and flexible toughness that withstands daily use without chipping or cracking.
Why It's Used: Hema-terminated polyurethanes are the principal curable resins in professional gel nails โ the hema terminus provides simultaneous uv reactivity and keratin adhesion that acrylate-only systems cannot match for durability.
How It Works: Hema end-groups polymerise under uv/led (365/405 nm) forming c-c crosslinks. the polyurethane midblock soft segment provides elastic flexibility preventing nail-flex cracking; hema hydroxyls h-bond to nail keratin providing adhesion. ipdi or tmhdi hard segments provide hydrolytic resistance for multi-week wear.
Typically Found In: Gel nail polish, nail extensions,uv/led nail products
