Common Name(s): Lactobacillus ferment lysate filtrate, lactobacillus ferment lysate filtrate, lactobacillus lab postbiotic, acid mantle anti-acne active

CAS Number: N/a

DESCRIPTION

What It Does: Reinforces skin acid mantle through lactic acid production, provides selective c. acnes/s. aureus antimicrobial protection from bacteriocins, and delivers tlr2-mediated anti-inflammatory trained immunity.

Why It's Used: Lactobacillus postbiotics are the most clinically validated cosmetic microbiome actives — acid mantle reinforcement, bacteriocin selectivity, and tlr2 immunomodulation are each independently documented in dermatology literature.

How It Works: Lab fermentation: lactic acid (ph 4.5-5.0 reinforcement); class iia bacteriocins (selective gram-positive pathogen pore formation); lta (tlr2/tlr6 → il-10 anti-inflammatory tolerance); beta-glucosidase (polyphenol glycoside → aglycone, 10-50× sc penetration improvement).
