Common Name(s): Oyster sterols,oyster sterols,marine bivalve phytosterols,unusual sterol blend
CAS Number: N/a
DESCRIPTION
What It Does: Provides marine-source phytosterol barrier lipid supplementation with anti-inflammatory 5-alpha reductase inhibitory activity from the c28โc30 unusual sterols not present in plant phytosterol blends.
Why It's Used: Oyster sterols are selected for their unique marine sterol fingerprint โ the unusual c28โc30 methylenecholesterol and brassicasterol content provides sc barrier lipid restoration with a sterol diversity unavailable from conventional plant phytosterol sources.
How It Works: Oyster sterols: 24-methylenecholesterol + brassicasterol โ sc lipid bilayer intercalation; sterol nucleus โ cholesterol-like barrier lipid function; 5ฮฑ-reductase inhibition โ reduced sebum + anti-androgenic activity.
