Common Name(s): Phosphatidylserine, anionic cell membrane phospholipid,anti-aging membrane lipid

CAS Number: N/a

DESCRIPTION

What It Does: Replenishes age-depleted phosphatidylserine in cell membranes, activates pkc-ฮฑ and pkc-ฮฒ for keratinocyte differentiation and barrier gene upregulation, and provides biomimetic emolliency from the skin-identical phospholipid structure.

Why It's Used: Ps addresses the membrane lipid composition anti-aging mechanism that conventional actives cannot target โ€” direct restoration of a specific cell membrane lipid whose decline directly impairs skin cell signalling and barrier function.

How It Works: Ps's serine head group provides the anionic charge required for pkc membrane recruitment and activation โ€” pkc requires ps for full enzymatic activity regulating keratinocyte differentiation and barrier gene expression (involucrin, loricrin, filaggrin). ps also serves as 'find-me' apoptotic signal modulating inflammatory clearance.

Typically Found In: Premium anti-aging,cell membrane support
