Common Name(s): Sodium cyclic lysophosphatidic acid, sodium cyclic lysophosphatidic acid, lpa receptor agonist sodium salt, dermal matrix stimulating lipid
CAS Number: N/a
DESCRIPTION
What It Does: Activates lpa1 and lpa3 receptors on dermal fibroblasts to upregulate col1a1, elastin, and has2 synthesis, stimulates keratinocyte renewal through lpa receptor-mediated proliferation, and promotes wound healing from fibroblast migration and matrix remodelling.
Why It's Used: Cyclic lpa provides lpa receptor activation with improved metabolic stability โ the cyclic phosphate ring resists phospholipase degradation providing 5โ10ร longer skin half-life than linear lpa while retaining equivalent lpa1/3 receptor binding affinity.
How It Works: Na-clpa binds lpa receptor subtypes (lpa1, lpa3) at the plasma membrane โ gi/gq coupling โ pi3k-akt cell survival + rho-rock fibroblast cytoskeletal reorganisation + erk proliferation. has2 upregulation โ increased hyaluronic acid synthesis; col1a1 โ increased type i collagen; elastin โ improved skin elasticity.
