Common Name(s): Sodium ferulate,sodium ferulate,ferulic acid salt,photo-antioxidant sodium salt

CAS Number: N/a

DESCRIPTION

What It Does: Provides ferulic acid photo-antioxidant activity — cinnamate uv-a screening plus radical scavenging that photostabilises co-formulated vitamin c and e — in a water-soluble sodium salt format.

Why It's Used: Sodium ferulate is selected to deliver ferulic acid's photo-synergistic antioxidant activity in water-based formulas — the sodium salt providing full aqueous solubility for high-concentration ferulic incorporation without the ph management challenges of free ferulic acid.

How It Works: Sodium ferulate → aqueous dissolution → ferulic acid active species at skin ph; phenolic radical scavenging + cinnamate uv-a screening + vitamin c/e photostabilisation.

Typically Found In: Antioxidant serum, vitamin c formulas
