This lack of moisture is due to the “protective barrier” being compromised (see diagram 1), allowing moisture to escape. In normal skin, (see diagram 2), the barrier function is intact and unbroken, thereby retaining moisture and keeping skin soft and supple.
Cetaphil Intensive Moisturiser with shea butter helps restore this protective barrier and locks in moisture. It is absorbed easily and does not leave a greasy residue. Shea Butter is a natural ingredient from the Karite tree of Africa, known for its pleasant moisturising properties.
