What COCOON Says
Product Description:
A fine mist from turmeric extract and mineral salts combined with SOD enzyme, EGCG, and amino acids will cover the entire skin to help brighten and fight oxidation vigorously, immediately moisturize, and protect skin from harmful environmental aggressors. Turmeric has long been renowned as a traditional medicinal plant with remarkable beauty benefits. Alongside proteins, minerals, and essential oils, the key component in turmeric is curcumin, an extremely valuable compound. It is a natural polyphenol with powerful antioxidant properties (multiple times stronger than vitamin E) and possesses antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects, aiding in the rapid healing of skin damage. Curcumin also partially inhibits the overproduction of melanin, thereby restoring the natural brightness of the skin. In the favorable climate and fertile soil of Hung Yen, turmeric cultivation thrives abundantly in this region. Throughout our research journey, we discovered that turmeric grown in Hung Yen contains three times the amount of curcumin compared to turmeric grown in other areas. This is why Cocoon has chosen Hung Yen turmeric as the main ingredient for our skin-brightening product line. Turmeric has been widely recognized in traditional folk medicine for its efficacy in healing scars and fading dark spots. However, one drawback is its intense yellow color that may leave a residue on the skin, causing hesitation for some individuals. Through extensive research, we have unlocked and refined the properties of dark yellow turmeric cultivated in Hung Yen, retaining only the purest nutrients to restore brightness to dull skin without causing a yellowish appearance.

SCIENTIFIC NOTE
Betaine's anti-irritant mechanism for surfactant systems involves competitive protein protection: betaine at high concentrations preferentially interacts with skin proteins, occupying binding sites that would otherwise be occupied by surfactant molecules causing protein denaturation. this competition reduces available protein binding for irritating surfactants, explaining betaine's well-documented ability to reduce sls irritation when co-formulated.
