What Keya Seth Aromatherapy Says

Product Description:

Keya Seth Aromatherapy, Umbrella Sunscreen Solution SPF 40 and PA+++ is a broad-spectrum, sweat resistant sunscreen solution with SPF 40 and PA+++ for efficient sun protection. This special city formula effectively reduces Persistent Pigment Darkening (PPD) of skin due to UV rays; while the natural ingredients keep the skin healthy and nourished. A natural ingredient enriched powerful formula that not only shields the skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays but also prevents skin dryness caused by the sun rays. This sunscreen solution combines the effectiveness of natural sun blockers like almond oil, avocado oil, wheat germ oil with micronized zinc oxide which works as a long spectrum sun blocker. The natural oils present in this sunscreen are a great source of vitamin A and E, which not only helps in preventing the drying effects of the sun rays but also provides anti-ageing benefits. Being water based and lightweight the sunscreen is ideal for regular use in city life. For effective sun protection you need a sunscreen that can shield your skin from both Ultraviolet A (UVA) and Ultraviolet B (UVB) rays of the sun. UVA rays are long wave ultraviolet rays that penetrate deep into the dermis of the skin and can cause skin ageing and wrinkling. UVB rays with short wavelength usually burns the superficial layer of the skin, resulting into sunburn and tanning. UVB rays also play a key role in development of serious skin concerns. Keya Seth Umbrella sunscreen solution SPF 40 contains PA+++ which offers effective protection from the UVA rays along with SPF 40 that gives lasting coverage from UVB rays. Features: Broad-Spectrum City Sun Blocker offers broad-spectrum sun protection against UVA and UVB rays while nourishing your skin; ideal for regular city life use. Reduces Pigment Darkening with multivitamin-enriched oil extracts from avocado, almond, and wheat germ that keep skin healthy and moisturized. Powered by SPF 40 the sunscreen solution effectively blocks 96% of UVB rays; prevents sunburn and suntan; develops a Sun Shield while reducing Persistent Pigment Darkening (PPD). Sweat-Resistant and Non-Oily formula with micronized zinc oxide that keeps skin hydrated yet oil-free. Suits all skin types; no side effects.

Ingredients Details

Almond Oil

Common Name(s): Almond oil, botanical carrier oil, emollient fatty acid delivery

CAS Number: N/a

DESCRIPTION

What It Does: Softens and conditions skin by integrating into sc lipid bilayers, delivers essential fatty acids (oleic, linoleic, linolenic) for barrier lipid synthesis, and provides rich, non-stripping moisturisation.

Why It's Used: Natural carrier oils provide the closest compositional match to endogenous sc lipids, delivering emolliency through genuine barrier integration rather than simple surface occlusion.

How It Works: Fatty acid triglycerides partition into sc lipid bilayers โ€” oleic acid (c18:1) provides fluid, emollient integration; linoleic acid (c18:2) acts as essential ceramide precursor; saturated fatty acids provide more occlusive barrier reinforcement.

Typically Found In: Moisturisers, facial oils, natural skin care

SAFETY & COMPATIBILITY

Safety Profile: Excellent safety profile. ewg score: 1.

Works Well With: Humectants, ceramides, actives as carrier

Avoid Combining With: No significant incompatibilities

SCIENTIFIC NOTE

Essential fatty acids โ€” linoleic (c18:2, n-6) and ฮฑ-linolenic (c18:3, n-3) acids โ€” cannot be synthesised by the body; topical delivery through carrier oils provides direct substrate for ceramide and eicosanoid biosynthesis in the epidermis.

Avocado Oil

Common Name(s): Avocado oil, avocado butter (solid fraction)

CAS Number: 8024-32-6

DESCRIPTION

What It Does: Provides deep moisturization with rich oleic acid, phytosterols, and lutein antioxidants for mature, dry skin.

Why It's Used: Rich, deeply penetrating oil for dry and mature skin requiring intensive emolliency beyond lightweight oils.

How It Works: Very high oleic acid (55-74%) penetrates deeply into stratum corneum for conditioning. beta-sitosterol and other phytosterols provide barrier repair and mild anti-inflammatory activity. lutein provides antioxidant protection. high unsaponifiable fraction (2-11%) provides unique skin bioactives.

Typically Found In: Rich moisturizers, dry skin oils,anti-aging formulas, body butters

SAFETY & COMPATIBILITY

Safety Profile: Excellent safety profile. ewg score: 1.

Works Well With: Humectants, ceramides, actives as carrier

Avoid Combining With: No significant incompatibilities

SCIENTIFIC NOTE

Avocado oil's unusually high unsaponifiable fraction (2-11% vs <2% for most plant oils) contains phytosterols, terpenes, vitamin e, and chlorophyll that remain after saponification and provide skin-active benefits not present in most other plant oils. this unsaponifiable fraction is what makes avocado oil pharmacologically distinct from simple fatty acid triglyceride oils.
