How It Works: Trans-cinnamate chromophore absorbs uvb at ฮปmax 308nm (ฮตmax ~24,000 l/molยทcm). undergoes trans-cis photoisomerisation reducing uv protection over time โ requires photostabilisation with avobenzone or octocrylene. oil-soluble for elegant formulation.
