Shiseido Tsubaki Premium Volume & Repair Conditioner 450ml
Shiseido Tsubaki Premium Volume & Repair Conditioner is designed to repair damaged hair, reduce split ends, and leave hair stronger and healthier. It regenerates and repairs both surface and deep layers, providing softness, shine, and volume. Enriched with Japanese camellia oil, cold-pressed and rich in fatty acids and antioxidants, it deeply hydrates, nourishes, and regenerates hair. The conditioner also contains soy protein, which strengthens hair structure and increases volume by binding to the hair and increasing its diameter. Additionally, it includes salicylic acid to combat dandruff and aspartic acid to improve hair structure. The formula also features tocopherol (vitamin E), an antioxidant that protects hair from free radicals, and two types of hyaluronic acid that penetrate deeply into the hair fiber, providing intense hydration and strengthening the scalp's protective barrier. The conditioner reduces static electricity in hair, preventing frizz, and protects hair from damage caused by external factors such as heat, sunlight, and saltwater. It is suitable for all hair types, especially fine, flat hair, and damaged, brittle hair that needs extra care and nourishment. The creamy texture acts as a shield against the harsh effects of heat styling, leaving hair soft and radiant. It facilitates detangling and leaves hair shiny and full of vitality. The conditioner has a delicate and elegant floral-fruity fragrance and is vegan-friendly.

Common Name(s): Aminopropyl dimethicone
DESCRIPTION
What It Does: Creates a smooth, silky skin feel, reduces friction, and forms a breathable film on skin that enhances product application and wear.
Why It's Used: Silicones provide unmatched aesthetic elegance, thermal stability, and formulation flexibility that enhance both consumer experience and product performance.
How It Works: Siloxane backbone provides a flexible, chemically inert polymer that forms thin, breathable films on skin surface, filling surface irregularities and providing low surface energy for exceptional slip and spreadability.
Typically Found In: Moisturizers,primers,foundations,sunscreens,hair products
TECHNICAL DETAILS
Primary Category: Silicones
Secondary Functions: Emollient,film former
Application Areas:
Facial Skincare
Body Care
Hair Care
Beard Care
Color Cosmetics (Makeup)
Dietary/Oral Supplements
Typical Concentration Range: 0.5โ30%
SOURCING & ETHICS
Vegan Status: Yes
Halal Status: Yes
Source Notes: Synthetic silicone polymer; not plant-derived but generally considered vegan.
SKIN COMPATIBILITY
Irritancy Rating: 1
Comedogenicity Rating: 0
Sensitivity Concerns: Low sensitization potential at recommended use concentrations.
Safe for Sensitive Skin: Yes
SAFETY & COMPATIBILITY
Safety Profile: Well-characterized cosmetic ingredient with established safety profile. generally non-irritating at typical use concentrations. suitable for leave-on and rinse-off cosmetics.
Works Well With: Other emollients,uv filters, pigments
Avoid Combining With: Silicone-sensitive formulations; biodegradability concerns in eco-formulations
SCIENTIFIC NOTE
Silicone polymers are poly(dimethylsiloxane) backbones with si-o bond energy (105 kcal/mol) significantly higher than c-c (83 kcal/mol), providing exceptional thermal and oxidative stability. the low surface energy (21 mn/m vs 30+ mn/m for organic polymers) accounts for silicone's unique slip feel, and the si-o bond's flexibility (rotation barrier ~0.3 kcal/mol) enables fluid behavior across wide temperature ranges.

Amodimethicone
Common Name(s): Aminosilicone,amino-modified polydimethylsiloxane
CAS Number: 71750-79-3
DESCRIPTION
What It Does: Provides amino group-mediated preferential adsorption to damaged hair for targeted conditioning.
Why It's Used: Premium hair conditioning silicone โ amino groups provide substantive adsorption to hair far exceeding pdms, with automatic targeting to the most damaged areas requiring conditioning.
How It Works: Amino (nh2) groups on silicone chain provide cationic character at normal ph, electrostatic adsorption to anionic hair surface. higher charge density at damaged sites increases adsorption where conditioning is most needed. si-o-si backbone provides permanent conditioning film with heat protection.
Typically Found In: Intensive conditioners,anti-frizz products, damage repair conditioners
TECHNICAL DETAILS
Primary Category: Functional ingredient โ amino-functional silicone
Secondary Functions: Skin conditioning
Application Areas:
Facial Skincare
Body Care

SAFETY & COMPATIBILITY
Safety Profile: Good safety profile at recommended concentrations. ewg score: 1โ2.
Works Well With: Standard skincare actives
Avoid Combining With: No known significant incompatibilities
SCIENTIFIC NOTE
Amodimethicone's amino group-driven substantivity to damaged hair is dramatically greater than non-functionalized pdms. studies show amodimethicone deposits 50-200ร more mass on bleach-damaged hair vs virgin hair, providing an automatic 'damage detection' conditioning system that directs the most conditioning to the hair areas that need it most.
